Leaving the Tundra for Thailand

I left home midway through the second quarter of the G B Packer game at about 4:30 pm. The temperature was 17 degrees. I drove to Des Moines and stayed overnight with June and Marshall Peters, former missionaries to Thailand. Marshall organized and wrote grants to subsidize this adventure. They are looking forward to going back. They lived below Dick and Marnie Gregory (FBC members) when they first arrived on the mission field.

It was a short night before a long couple of days, we left for the airport before 5 am. We caught up with the rest of the group. It is a peculiar combination of names of fellow travelers. Two Dwaynes, two Marcia’s, Marshal, Jan, June, Susan and Bill.
