Malaysia Day One – Part 2

We flew over Barrow Alaska then across the Bering Sea. When I volunteered at the Kodiak Baptist Mission I took kids swimming in the Bering Sea. It was the coldest water I’ve ever been in. We angled SW over Siberia flying over one mountain range after another ( some over 15,000 feet). The low red sun sprayed everything orangish red. Next we passed over a cloud covered Beijing before landing at a man made island airport in Hong Kong harbor. Because we left Dallas late we had to hustle to make our connecting flight to Kuala Lumpur. We speed walked, monorailed and escalated. The plane was already boarding as we got to the gate.
