Before the pandemic it seemed like so many good things were happening here at First Baptist. And they still are – but now sometimes it feels like we are starting all over again. It feels like we are rebuilding. And it’s a little scary – not knowing what happens next.
But then I read these words from Isaiah and they were so comforting. How good it feels to think of God holding us in his arms, close to his heart. Just thinking of that of image of God as the shepherd calms my heart and makes me feel less afraid. God is with us – a shepherd guiding us. I know that we can trust in the shepherd to lead us where we need to go and to protect us along the way.
